Welcome

Dear Friends:

Welcome to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and to our parish website! Each week at Mass I ask those who are visiting to “please stand that we might acknowledge your presence among us” and it gives me great pleasure to acknowledge your visit to our website which is yet another way to enter into the spirit of our parish!

Blessed Sacrament Church in Clermont is a wonderful community located to the west of the city of Orlando. The rolling hills of Clermont are a sharp contrast to the usual flatlands of the Florida peninsula. If you are lucky enough to see the view from the top of Citrus Tower on a clear day you can see both the east and the west coasts of Florida!

We became a Mission Parish in 1933 (with a handful of families) and established as a permanent Parish in 1961 with 400 families. Our present Church was dedicated on January 15, 2002. Today we are a community of over 4200 families and have even founded a new Mission Church, Santo Toribio Romo just west of our parish campus in the City of Mascotte. We are young and we are old, we are diverse in color, nationality and language. We are “Catholic” in the very best sense of the word!

I invite you to “look around” and “make yourself at home” as you visit our parish today! I hope that your visit will enhance your own relationship with God, deepen your commitment to the Lord Jesus and His holy Church, and inspire you to continue your work of building the Kingdom of God!

Sincerely in Christ,

Very Reverend Bob Webster
